Decouple Capacity Planning from Your Bill
With traditional server rental you forecast demand months ahead, size the package for your busiest day and pay for that capacity whether you use it or not. IzCloud Flex reverses the equation: you open resources when the need arises, release them when the work is done, and the invoice reflects only the hours those resources were actually allocated to you.
This model gives a predictable cost structure to teams with fluctuating loads, project-based work or growth that is still hard to forecast. Infrastructure, panel and support are the same as fixed-price IzCloud; only the way you pay changes.
Hourly billing
The hourly price of each resource is its monthly unit price divided by 730. Resources allocated to your servers are recorded hour by hour.
No charge for idle capacity
Resources you delete or shrink leave the invoice from that hour on. A resource used all month never exceeds its monthly price.
No quotas, no approvals
No ticket is needed to create, scale or delete a server. Changes are applied instantly from the panel.
One invoice at month end
No prepayment, credit top-up or card mandate required. Track your estimated invoice in the panel throughout the month.
How Is the Hourly Price Calculated?
The calculation is simple and auditable: monthly unit price, average hours per month and the hours a resource stayed allocated.
Unit prices are set
Your quote defines custom monthly unit prices for vCPU, RAM, disk, IP and internet.
Converted to hourly
Each unit price is divided by 730 to get the cost of one hour of that resource.
Allocation is logged
The total vCPU, RAM and disk allocated to your servers is recorded every hour and reconciled hourly with the virtualization layer.
Summed at month end
The invoice is calculated from this ledger; for resources used continuously the amount is capped at the monthly price.
Ratio examples
- Resource allocated for the whole month
- The full monthly fee, never more
- Resource used for half of the month
- Half of the monthly fee
- Test server running for one week (168 hours)
- About 23% of the monthly fee
- RAM doubled in the middle of the month
- First half at the old size, second half at the new
- Server deleted after 20 minutes
- One hour of usage
Fixed Model or Flex Model?
Both models run on the same infrastructure; the difference lies in when you pay and how you manage resources.
A Flex Pool in Four Steps
From application to first invoice, the process is clear and handled by a single contact.
Meeting and quote
We listen to your needs and prepare a custom quote with your resource unit prices.
Pool setup
Once the contract is signed, your flex pool is defined on your IzCloud account.
Manage from the panel
Create, scale up, scale down or delete virtual servers at any time, without waiting for approval.
Month-end invoice
A single invoice calculated from the hourly ledger, paid by bank transfer or credit card.
Already an IzCloud customer?
Your existing fixed services stay as they are; a flex pool is opened separately in the same panel.
Who Is IzCloud Flex For?
The right cost model for every team whose resource needs change month to month, or even day to day.
Development and test environments
Spin up pre-release test servers when needed and delete them when done; carry no idle capacity after hours.
Seasonal and campaign loads
Add capacity for sales periods, enrollment weeks or launch traffic, then scale back once the peak passes.
Batch and data processing
Run powerful servers for reporting, conversion or analytics jobs only for the hours the job runs.
Software agencies and SaaS teams
Build a separate environment per client or project and see the hourly cost to bill it back.
Enterprise project infrastructure
Set up temporary infrastructure for migrations, integrations or pilots without a long-term package.
Startups with uncertain growth
Pay for today's usage; scale resources from the panel as your user base grows.
Transparent Rules, No Surprise Invoices
We share the limits of the flex model clearly from the start.
Powered-off servers are billed
A powered-off server keeps its resources reserved. To stop charges, delete or shrink the server.
Disk is always full price
Disk space stays reserved whether the server is on or off and is billed at full price.
One-hour minimum
Every creation and resource change is billed as at least one hour.
Usage-based backup
Backup has no quota; your actual backup usage is billed per GB.
Internet allowance included
The bandwidth included in your tariff is free; bandwidth allocated above it is billed hourly.
Estimated invoice, anytime
Under My Services, the accrued amount and the month-end estimate at the current rate are always up to date.
